The Antimalarial outreach was held on 12th December 2023 as a joint effort from the Rotary Club of Gregory University, Uturu, Pharmaceutical Association of Nigerian Students (PANS), Gregory university Uturu,
and CHES Empowerment Foundation, Nigeria.
This event took place at the amphitheatre, Gregory University, Uturu for all students, staff of Gregory university Uturu and members of Uturu community at large.
During the outreach, a lecture on facts about malaria was given by Usim Blessing, a 400lv pharmacy student. She educated the audience on malaria, it’s transmission, prevention and proper treatment.
Questions were asked and answered by the speaker.
Free gifts such as mosquito net, repellent, insecticide was shared amongst the early birds and during the question and answer session
After which we proceeded with free Malaria test and sharing of free malaria drugs to over 160 beneficiaries.
